Meta 即將終止獨立 Mac 與 Windows 版 FB Messenger App

簡單來說，透過 Messenger for Mac 就能將 Facebook 聊天室變成應用程式，直接顯示於工具列，就像其他即時通訊軟體一樣可跳出通知、使用相關功能，例如接收訊息、傳送相片或檔案，或是開啟多人的視訊聊天、語音通話等等，就不用在瀏覽器分頁中切換，亦可提高使用效率。 開啟 Mac App Store 的 Messenger 頁面就會提示透過 App Store 取得應用程式。 下載後從「應用程式」資料夾開啟 Messenger，直接使用 Facebook 帳號登入，或使用手機號碼、電子郵件地址

根據 Meta 官方公告，Messenger 的 Windows 與 macOS 桌面應用程式將在 2025 年 12 月 15 日正式停止運作，屆時只剩下 Facebook.com 或 Messenger.com 網頁版可用。

根據 Facebook Help Center 頁面顯示，Meta 將停止支援 Mac 和 Windows 平台的 Messenger 應用程式。 使用者將在應用程式內收到通知，並有 60 天的時間可以繼續使用，之後應用程式將完全停止運作。
